Longtime industry executive Daniel Fournier has been appointed as the new president of Oxford Properties Group, succeeding Michael Turner after his five-year tenure. This announcement was made by OMERS, the pension plan's real estate arm responsible for overseeing global assets worth over $82 billion.

"For over 13 years, five as president, Michael has dedicated himself to our outstanding global real estate success story," says Blake Hutcheson, president and CEO of OMERS.

Under Turner's leadership, Oxford has experienced significant growth, diversifying its business and expanding into new markets and sectors. Turner will continue to be involved with Oxford, focusing on the company's U.S.-specific strategies.

Daniel Fournier Daniel Fournier is an experienced and well-known real estate leader with over 40 years of experience in the industry.

Daniel Fournier: An Experienced Real Estate Veteran

Daniel Fournier brings with him over 40 years of experience in the real estate industry. Prior to this role, he served as chairman and CEO of Ivanhoé Cambridge, a global real estate subsidiary of Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ). During his tenure, Ivanhoé Cambridge grew into one of the world's largest institutional investors.

Fournier's retirement has seen him serve on several boards and advisory boards of Quebec-based companies, including Claridge, Groupe Maurice, Simons, and BTB REIT.
