John Sykes, the name behind Woodford Thoroughbreds, has recently made some big changes, selling his sprawling 1,000-acre Florida farm to concentrate on a more refined racing and breeding program. Think high-class fillies and a select group of broodmares – talk about aiming for quality over quantity!

The historic farm, now christened Persaud Legacy Farms under its new owner Danny Persaud, won't be sitting idle. It's gearing up to be a hub for all things equestrian, from Thoroughbred training to boarding for show jumpers and even therapeutic riding. It sounds like a horse lover's dream come true!

Meanwhile, Sykes is laser-focused on building a formidable broodmare band and acquiring fillies with serious racing potential. He's even got trainer Will Walden scouting out future champions at prestigious auctions like Tattersalls and Ocala Breeders' Sales. It's a real team effort, with Sykes and Walden strategizing and sharing in the excitement of the races.

This new chapter for Woodford Thoroughbreds is all about working smarter, not harder. By honing in on top-tier fillies and a carefully curated broodmare band, Sykes is poised to make a big splash in the world of Thoroughbred racing. We can't wait to see what exciting wins are in store for this dynamic duo!
