REAL Broker, LLC: A Cloud-Based Brokerage with Trade-Offs and Advantages

In this article, I will review the pros and cons of joining REAL Broker, LLC to help you decide if a cloud-based brokerage is the right fit for you. While there are trade-offs, I ultimately believe the benefits outweigh them. However, everyone's conclusion may differ.

CON: No Face-To-Face Interaction

Giving up in-person, face-to-face interaction with fellow agents is a trade-off when joining a cloud-based brokerage like REAL Broker. However, virtual communication tools such as Zoom have allowed me to connect with clients efficiently. While it may not be the same as being in the same room, it offers convenience and saves time. Agents who value social interaction might initially find it challenging to adjust. However, joining associations, attending networking events, and participating in social activities can help scratch that social itch.

CON: No Brokers Office Access

Giving up access to your broker's office and conference rooms is another trade-off with a cloud-based brokerage. However, in today's digital age, physical office space is not essential for success. Working from home has made me more efficient and focused. I save commuting time, avoid distractions, and have more control over my schedule. If necessary, renting office space or using conference rooms at title companies or lenders' offices can fulfill the need for a professional setting.

PRO: Lower Cap and Splits

One of the significant advantages of joining a cloud-based brokerage like REAL Broker is the significantly lower fees for agents. REAL Broker, LLC does not have the expenses of franchise-based brokerages, such as office space and staff, enabling them to charge a $12,000 annual cap. In comparison, other brokerages often charge between $24,000 and $28,000, with some reaching up to $50,000. The lower cap allows agents to save money that can be invested in their business, family, or personal goals. Additionally, REAL offers a generous 15/85 split, making it appealing for new or part-time agents.

CON: REAL Brand Is Not As Recognizable

While REAL Broker may not have the same brand recognition as some other real estate companies, brand loyalty is becoming less relevant in today's market. Clients hire agents based on reputation, knowledge, and trust, rather than the company they work for. REAL Broker's value proposition, lower costs, and revenue share program can outweigh the perceived drawbacks of a less recognizable brand.

PRO: HUGE Revenue Share Potential

REAL Broker offers a revenue share program for attracting new agents, which is one of the most profitable in the industry. Agents can earn $4,000 per year for directly attracting agents and additional bonuses for purchase options and attracting teams. This revenue share program provides a significant opportunity for building passive income and contributes to a sense of community and collaboration within the brokerage.

Final Thoughts on REAL Broker, LLC

Cloud-based brokerages like REAL Broker are the future of the real estate industry. While there are trade-offs and considerations, the advantages they offer make them a better fit for most agents' businesses compared to traditional brick-and-mortar, franchise-based brokerages. REAL Broker's potential for growth, cost savings, stock incentives, and revenue share program position it as a disruptor in the industry. I am proud to be part of a company that has the potential to positively impact the lives and businesses of many real estate agents.
