On December 19, 2020, Sweet Home 3D updated its furniture libraries with an impressive collection of 100 new 3D models. Designed by Sweet Home 3D, Scopia, and Blend Swap contributors, these models offer a diverse range of options for your home designs. Whether you're looking for kitchen appliances, outdoor objects, or even Japanese-inspired décor, this update has it all.
The kitchen objects feature a new set of customizable cabinets, various appliances, and an expanded selection of food models. With these additions, you can create lifelike scenes and bring your kitchen designs to life.
For outdoor designs, the update includes rocks, new trees, and other objects that add natural beauty to your scenes. With different appearances based on the season of your choice, these exterior models allow you to create realistic outdoor environments.
And for those living in warmer countries where winter is not a concern, the update offers new models specifically designed to furnish a deck. You can now create stylish and comfortable outdoor spaces, perfect for enjoying the great outdoors.
Apart from the new models, Sweet Home 3D has also enhanced its searchable list feature. Now, when you search for an item in the furniture catalog, you can not only type in its name but also use associated keywords. Previously available only in English and French translations, these keywords have been expanded to include Bulgarian, Czech, Finnish, Greek, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish translations. This expansion was made possible thanks to the hard work of the Sweet Home 3D translators' community and a helpful application developed to streamline the process of adding keywords.
It's important to note that among these keywords, two special ones stand out. The "Adjustable" keyword is used for items with shapes that can be modified using the "Modify openings" or "Modify posture" buttons in their modification dialog box. On the other hand, the "Default" keyword is associated with the 100 items in the default furniture catalog. Please keep in mind that the keywords for the items in the default furniture catalog will only work in translated versions of Sweet Home 3D in the next release.
To take advantage of these exciting updates, you can download the additional models from the free 3D models page or the updated SH3F furniture libraries. The file size of many older models has been reduced without compromising on details. The updated libraries are available in multiple languages, including Bulgarian, Chinese, Czech, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
