If you're considering pursuing a Master's degree in Real Estate, you may have noticed that there is a lack of comprehensive information available online. Unlike MBA programs, which have extensive profiles, rankings, and admissions advice, finding the right graduate real estate program can be a challenging task. That's why we've taken it upon ourselves to provide an in-depth series on graduate real estate programs, offering the information you need to make an informed decision.

A Brief History of the Series

Our series was initially launched in 2016 in response to the scarcity of online information about Master's in Real Estate programs. Over time, we have expanded the series to include numerous universities. We started with reputable institutions such as Columbia, Cornell, MIT, NYU, Johns Hopkins, and USC. However, our aim is to eventually profile the majority of graduate real estate programs, both in the United States and internationally.

What You Should Expect

Our series aims to provide a comprehensive look at each graduate real estate program, highlighting what sets them apart. We have structured our profiles into six key areas of interest:

Description

We provide basic information about each program, including the program name, degree(s) offered, location, year established, website address, and other relevant details.

Curriculum

We delve into the curriculum, discussing whether the program is full-time or part-time, one-year or two-year, and the specific real estate disciplines taught. We also cover credit requirements, travel opportunities, and the presence of a thesis or capstone project.

Culture

Discover the program's culture, including whether it is immersive or non-immersive, extracurricular activities, clubs, case studies, projects, class size, and the demographic makeup of students.

Admissions

We shed light on admissions criteria, such as GMAT, GPA, and work experience requirements. Additionally, we cover the admissions process, acceptance rate, and important deadlines.

Careers

Learn about the career services offered by each program, placement statistics, salary figures, and the typical companies that hire graduates. We also analyze alumni data from LinkedIn for further insights.

Q&A with Alumni

Gain valuable perspectives from one or more alumni through a multi-question Q&A/survey. This section provides candid answers and insider insights about the program.

Why We're Dedicated to This Series

At AdventuresinCRE, we strive to be more than just a real estate financial modeling blog. While our financial modeling section is a significant aspect of what we do, we are equally passionate about real estate careers, education, and events.

Our career section covers topics such as sectors, fields, functions, and compensation in real estate. We offer guidance on the essential skill sets needed for institutional real estate and provide tips for preparing for technical real estate interviews.

In our education section, we explore various topics of interest in real estate. We have previously covered leases, taxes, the MBA vs. Masters in Real Estate debate, and stochastic analysis in real estate. It is within this section that you will find the Graduate Real Estate Program Profiles Series.

If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions regarding our series or any other topic, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are here to support your journey in the real estate industry.
